Supernatural 3: Family don't end with blood

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it's interesting, but it's messy. But then again, I think Kripke was plenty messy and don't get the "Show ended with S5, the rest is fanfic" position. S1-5 were plenty messy too.

I wondered if this tumblr would be interesting, but mostly I think it's creepy: [link] -- I'm wincing at most of their hypotheticals.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

All throughout Season 8, I yelled "Flashback Face!" so many times. Dean or Sam would get that look, and then flashback (to either purgatory or Amanda). I went from finding it slightly annoying to hysterically funny.

I'm not sure that was the effect they were going for.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I have to say that I deeply liked Benny as a character. Or maybe I just found the actor portraying him appealing.

Metatron I hate because he is deeply annoying, and there is no joy to be had in hating him. There is only hate. And annoyance. I do not love to hate him. I despise his very existence, and his continued existence and usage. Maybe I'm shallow and wouldn't mind him so much if the actor were attractive, or maybe I'd still hate him then too. I can't quantify how much or why I hate him as I do, as a character and a story arc. Other than, as an angel and the voice of God, he still doesn't make sense to me. He's far too petty and human in his motivations.

Your Metatron is my Crowley. I'm so over Mark Sheppard in general (outside Leverage), and Crowley in specific.

What's the ep where Jo plays bait and is dressed in a black dress?

It's Season 5: Abandon All Hope

I think the Chuck-as-God question was answered in ep 200. Canon set up that Chuck had to be dead for Kevin to have been "activated" as a prophet. But with Chuck's surprise reappearance after fading away in Swan Song, I took it as a canon confirmation of Chuck!God.

Season 5: Abandon All Hope

Really? I thought it was the apartment building episode.

Will rewatch tomorrow.

Shit, I think I've had Up On Cripple Creek's chorus stuck in my head for more than a month now.

Thanks SHOW.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Season 5: Abandon All Hope

Mostly I remember them being dressed in dusty fatigues trudging through the town. Not remembering a black dress. But then again, I'm not really remembering a dress in my offering either ("No Exit," 2.6).

Jo was bait (her car "broke down") outside of Crowley's lair to lure the demons guarding the gates. This was to help the boys to break in to take back the Colt from Crowley, but they were caught. But then Crowley turned the tables and gave the boys the gun (and the bullets) to kill Luci.

Then the dusty flannels trudging through the town.
