That hurt tonight. I think ita would have soaked up the angst and the beautiful man pain very enthusiastically. And god, Dean looked gorgeous tonight, but not for nothing, Timothy Omundsen (spelling?) is HOT. That hair, and those eyes. My lord.
I think whatshername may have nudged Crowley into amping up his evil again, which could be a good thing, plotwise.
Also, Sam's choked-up, "Dean's in trouble," was so beautifully done. Just that hint of emotional terror in his voice was enough to really sell it. DEAN. SAM. CAS.
God, I miss you, ita. It's not the same without you.
Oh, the other thing -- the callback to "It's a fire sale." Nicely done, Bob Berens.
Guh. On so many levels. Guh.

Yes. But if you have watched any of Galavant, it is so hard to take him as menacing. I mean, he brings completely different things to each role, but I kept half expecting him to break into song and maybe even dance dare Dean.
He's a good enough actor I don't feel any dissonance. And he makes Cain the scariest villain they've had since the last appearance of the alpha vampire.
Omundson: correct spelling, variation of Norwegian Amundsen. Never you mind why I know. Ahem.
He was amazingly commanding as Cain. Why is this man not getting movie roles? I was also recalling Galivant!Omundson, but I had no trouble separating him from Cain.
Also, does Ackles just have damned fine chemistry with everything that moves, or what? Should we be applying BOC levels of chemistry to him?
TBH, I remembered something I needed to do in the other room during Crowley-Rowena scene and wandered off to do it and didn't bother to pause the feed. I don't feel like I missed anything. I watch delayed so I can FF commercials. Crowley scenes are now my bathroom and snack-fetching times.
But the Dean and Sam and Cas -ness had me riveted to my seat, so there's the payoff. Amy said:

I noticed that too, and *yes!*
It's really nice to be engaged again--at least for part of the ep.
Gah, that moment at the end.
I still have to mentally block Carlton from my brain, but damn he does a fierce Cain.

Crowley's needed that kink in the head for a long ass time now, but the scene itself was awkward.
For the first time in --maybe years, I have the urge to go rewatch! At least, some scenes. Amazing.
I was watching from my hotel room while eating dinner and working, hello multi-tasking, and yet so many scenes completely grabbed my full attention.
Once I get home, I plan to rewatch and wallow.
So TNT is having a "Fan favorite light hearted Dean marathon" today. The current ep? Live Free and Twihard. How the heck is this one light hearted?
Because Dean made a Twilight joke? TNT seems to be stretching it with some of their themes. But thank you for reminding it's a marathon Wednesday!
