Xander: We just saw the zebras mating! Thank you, very exciting... Willow: It was like the Heimlich, with stripes!

'Him'

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2014: so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good bye...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.

Buh bye, 2014.

I have stuff and while I usually send earlier than now, I will be sending soon. Really out of it this year.

SO this motivated me and I got stuff more ready to go.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got the first of 2 packages to my giftee in the mail--the other one will happen tomorrow.

Better than that though, I just got a package from Laura. I am waiting until I get home to open it, but YAYYAYYAY in advance.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I just got two pairs of earrings in the mail from my Secret Santa! They were both from my Etsy favorites and they are perfect. The first are based on Hedwig and the Angry Inch, link and I'm totally going to wear them when I go see Hedwig on Broadway (for the third time) with smonster at the end of February. The second pair are gorgeous vintage rhinestone earrings link that I'm definitely going to wear on New Year's Eve.

Thank you Secret Santa, whoever you are! You are the best!

I haven't had the energy to go to the post office after work, so I haven't mailed my gifts yet, but definitely will by the end of the week.

Edit: added pictures, which I couldn't figure out how to do from my phone.

So far, I’ve gotten two postcards from my Secret Santa. They seem to be postmarked from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

There is a vast network of people to mail things to and from. Plus I've been driving cross country to mail things just to throw all of you off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been driving cross country to mail things just to throw all of you off.

You could send with your coworkers if you liked any of them.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I opened the box, and pulled out the unwrapped stuff (yummy looking chocolate, a cool Christmasy doorknob hanging thing that is already outside, and nice smelling tea candles that Charlie tried to eat and a holder he didn't). I am telling myself I am going to be patient and unwrap one thing each day, but we will see how long that lasts.
