Yesterday I managed to lose my car registration -- has brought it into the house for scanning, then remembered to put it in my purse, then it mysteriously disappeared. I was late for something, of course, but I rolled my wisdom and decided that I'd better not drive without it.
15 minutes later, I found that it had fallen out on top of the recycling pile.
Y'all can get all retro with the key limes if you want, it was the fingerling limes that were On the List.
And now that I say that I am wondering what effect the great shortage of bar limes had on citrus trends. Too bad I didn't think of that when I could have asked the expert.
One of our hippie friends recommended a "tea" made with turmeric, ginger, lemon, honey, and hot water.
That sounds tasty. I've got a ginger, honey, and lemon mixture already in my fridge, supposedly for making hot toddies although I most often just eat a spoonful by itself.
So my goal for today is to be in the office for fewer than 10 hours. It could happen!
Glad you found it, Theo! Replacing one's recycled car registration sounds like one of those tasks that requires a lot of waiting in lines.
I bought turmeric for some recipe a year or so back but I can't remember what it was or if I even made it.
Yes, indeedy. Time and money -- at least I know from experience that I can get to several different Registry offices by public transpo.
I think I'm going to try being an Uber driver. With a working car, and all, I should be able to bring in enough money to stretch out what I have until my programming ship (er, job) arrives.
Y'all, I have guys here installing a water filtration system. One of them is a young guy named Dean who looks...very much like Dean. Happy Friday.
Are you sure the water filter isn't possessed or something? I would let your coworkers drink the water for a few days before you try any.
It's at my house! So, you know, woods and strange sounds in the night and no streetlights.
Sounds like a good plan.
I remembered to sprinkle the paprika! My deviled eggs are all fancy now. And I tied the favor from the last baby shower (a baby bottle full of pink and white jellybeans) onto my baby blanket (also pink and white) in lieu of actual wrapping which I do not have the wherewithal to accomplish. I hope I got all the loose ends woven in.
