I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sigh, our pizza for the lunch meeting tomorrow has been cancelled because people didn't chip in their $5. I was counting on not having to think about that meal, dammit.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was in WI this weekend and the ads there were so much worse than the IL ones. Hard to fathom.

Wisconsin politics have gotten 100 times scarier since I left 23 years ago.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In DC we get ads from Maryland and Virginia; and I've had an unprecedented number of city campaign calls - both real people and robocalls.

On the bright side ... whatever the results of any election, if someone asks how you feel, responding "I'm just so glad it's over" is acceptable to everybody.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'd also like to have the option to opt out of political ads.

I seriously think it would be the best early turnout driver EVER if they could figure out a way to shut off all the crap once youv'e voted.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I normally like the hoopla on voting day, but I early voted because my life is difficult to predict these days.

The Senate race in Georgia is very close, and Georgia is one of the few states that requires that the winner get more than 50 percent of the vote. If it goes to a runoff, I'll have two more months of all political ads, all the time.

This is one of David Perdue's latest:

The issue is trust. Do you trust President Obama and the Washington politicians to deal with the problems we face? Too much debt. Not enough jobs. Terrorism and Ebola coming at us from overseas.

(It will be worth it if Nunn wins.)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Whenever my dad or Tim's dad starts to badmouth President Obama, my go-to response (because after all this time, I am NOT going to get into it with them) is "I tell you what, I know *I* wouldn't want that job!" Which is, in fact, true. And it generally diverts the conversation, so I don't have to throttle one of our dads.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Everything irritates me- people hating on Obama for dumb reasons makes me like him MORE than I would have, I think. But the Democratic party sending me approximately 5 million and 49 emails is making me want to kill them and not vote for them either!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"I tell you what, I know *I* wouldn't want that job!"

That is a good one!

I don't think he's perfect; he's done things I really don't like (hello, drone strikes). And in the 2008 primary I voted for Hillary. But he's still a damn sight better in my estimation than McCain or Romney.

I see some people on FB commenting things like "I voted for the idiot because he was better than the moron," and it drives me NUTS, because I think, was there EVER a time when ANY candidate was perfect? People are acting like we've gone from a time of choosing between 2 shining paragons who just espouse different yet awesome things, to a time of choosing between Attila the Hun and Pol Pot. Fucking ridiculous.

I think I'm going to vote against our incumbent county supervisor (possibly not the correct office, but I know who I mean) just because his campaign has inundated me with ads that are anti-the-other-candidate in ways that are unpalatable to me. I have very little idea what either of them is going to do for our area, because no one says anything specific about that.
