Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Boxes on the front porch shoved against the wall. That's probably all the rain prep I'm actually gonna do.

I should make ganache more often.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Chocolate mini pies?? Or is the ganache for something else? Either way: Yum.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I want to live the kind of life that involves making ganache more often.

S'more pies - graham cracker crust, ganache filling, marshmallows on top. I made 'em in cupcake liners because trying to picture cutting into an actual pie topped with toasted marshmallow made me anxious. The first twelve I moved from the muffin tin into a cupcake carrier, and I couldn't quite manage that without deforming them all at least a little. I'm leaving the second doze in the covered muffin tin. My co-workers can try to get them out themselves.

Making ganache in the microwave works really well and is so very easy, I feel like I am failing to live up to my potential by not having ganache available all the time. Although if I did have ganaches available all teh time I would inevitably end up just eating it with a spoon, so maybe it's better if I don't go down that road.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I wanna trick or treat at -t's house.

We have obtained tiny candy bars, of which we will end up eating 90% ourselves. And by "we" I mean "me", unless the dude suddenly picks up a taste for working from home.

I remained pissed because I realized that the people who did know the difference would think that I didn't.

Hah--totally!

Smore pies sound DELICIOUS!! Miniature ones sound even better! Wow.

I made cupcakes--devil's food with ginger chips, and cream cheese lime frosting--dyed orange and black. Because I had super cute halloween sprinkles I wanted to use--little ghosts and pumpkins and bats! Am giving most of them to my roommate to take to her work, so they are not sitting around the house.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We have 3 bags of candy, when in a good year we get 20 kids. And tomorrow it's supposed to be rainy and in the 40s. I think we're going to be eating A LOT of fun-size Milky Ways.

I want to trick or treat at -t's place too.

ita, I don't use butter for grilled cheese anymore, but use mayo. I really liked smoked gouda and bacon.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

And I'm a Philistine who uses American cheese. (I like the way it melts, and it tastes like my childhood.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

At this moment, my main reason for wanting to live on Buffista Island is so I can eat what you people are cooking.

When I lived in a converted-house rental in NJ, the landlord did not provide snow removal. My boyfriend and the guy downstairs did the shoveling. Had it been up to me... well, I'd have gone in with the downstairs people and hired someone. I can shovel snow and I will if I have to, but I can't do it fast, and I won't be likely to get to work on time!

Radiologists are different from X-ray techs, which I think is what ZenKitty was suggesting.

Yes it was. Sorry.

msbelle, you've been stressed, missed bills happen, don't worry about it. Pithy advice on the wayward young'un, though, I got nothing. Just sympathy.
