You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

Our wings are not tired.

Eating grilled cheese sandwiches and seeing Fleetwood Mac would go in the good stuff column. No water and no homework, not so much!

My not working hard enough in school 20yo just stopped by on his way to go hunting for 3 days. I talked sternly with him about his anatomy class and how much better it would be if he seriously studied. Yes Mom. You are right Mom. See ya Mom, off to go play with the guys.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

In general, I have come to believe that more butter -> more delicious grilled cheese, but I can't say I've met a grilled cheese I wasn't pleased to eat.

I mean, seriously, how could this formula ever be wrong. More butter -> more delicious. And more hot melty cheese -> more delicious. And toasty bread -> more delicious. And... oh, look at the time.

Looking at the time is right! I decided that I had to have grilled melty cheese goodness for dinner and here it is 8pm and DH isn't home yet. (decided on the tuna melt variety today)

You speak the truth, amych. Although I am currently making do with a well-buttered biscuit (it's not bad, but it's not grilled cheese)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I do love a grilled cheese sandwich. I'm fond of sourdough bread myself, and as for cheese, I'll go with whatever is in the house.

AND omg, my child is STILL not doing the schoolwork he needs to do.

We need a chance to talk and bond on that one, msbelle. Le sigh.

Although today the math homework gods were smiling upon us. Simple conversions, she completed it all by herself, no problem.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't really buy sliced bread very much, so don't get a proper grilled cheese often enough. But I do have an english muffin with melted cheese basically every day for breakfast. But it's not the same!

I am also pro-American cheese.

Man, I have to make pie tonight for tomorrow's pot luck. And pack up the tablecloth and double-sided tape I said I'd bring in for the pumpkin carving contest. And probably get stuff under cover because it is supposed to rain and there are cardboard boxes on my porch, among other things that most likely would prefer too come in out of the rain if they knew how.

Not right this minute.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

NJ renters question: I live in what used to be a private residence in a garage apartment. The main house is also rented. The landlady lives in Vermont. My jerkass neighbor and his snowplow have moved away. So now I'm looking at potentially paying $75 a pop for snowplow service, or going in with the new neighbor on a snowblower. I'm not seeing anything in the NJ tenant rights about grounds maintenance, but people are telling me that we should charge the cost of the snow plowing or the blower to the landlady. My new neighbor is all "oh, lots of rentals require the tenant to front the yard maintenance costs! It's totally normal!".

I can't be buying snowblowers and road salt on top of root canals and car repairs on my non-profit salary. I'll show up to work three hours late from shoveling by hand if needs be.

Thoughts? Hard facts?

Punishingly Intricate

My fave grilled cheese I make is shredded extra sharp cheddar with thinly sliced tart apple with like a sourdough or country wheat bread with lots of butter. Shredding the cheese is the secret to making it meltier!
