Radiology is outsourced like whoa these days, or at least the reading of the x-rays often is. It's true the technicians need to be in the room with you, but they don't rake in the pay. Actually pretty sure radiologists don't anymore either now that their pay scale has been undercut by outsourcing.

I feel you. I am a bit stuck in my current job situation and have been contemplating becoming an heirloom apple farmer.

I've been wishing I could go into hard cider making. We should get together with Sue and form a business plan. Pity about the whole need for seed money.

What's your favourite grilled cheese sandwich recipe? Like, recipe you have, as opposed to having ordered somewhere?

I like the one from Betty on Top Chef (season 2?). Provolone, monterrey jack, plus sauted mushrooms and onions. White sourdough bread, lots of butter.

I like American on rye with tomato (and lots of butter.)

Amy's grilled cheese is my grilled cheese (although now that I see that she is into the American cheese, not quite. I'm all about the sharp cheddar, although I will mix it up on occasion with more exotic cheeses. I'm not exactly against American, but I'm not partial to it). Toasted cheese sandwiches are a different thing to me, but also a sandwich I quite like. I also like toasted bread with cold cheese in between. And cheese and pickle sandwiches. Bread+cheese+butter=yum.

My father-in-law was a radiologist, although he had to go to med school to become one so I am finding this conversation confusing. He roved from hospital to hospital reading X-rays wherever he was needed on a short-term basis. DH liked to call him an itinerant radiologist.

This was me until lactose intolerance, but soy cheese slices are actually not bad (shreds, on the other hand... shudder ). And I find adding bologna to my grilled cheese tastes like childhood. But I'm a Philistine who still occasionally enjoys bologna.

Bologna (Oscar Meyer!) and yellow French's mustard on white bread also says childhood to me, and I still get a craving once in a while.

Radiologists are different from X-ray techs, which I think is what ZenKitty was suggesting. I forget how, though, except for them actually being MDs or something.

I need to turn in my grown-up card. For the first time in my life, water turned off for missed payment. I even have the missed payment letter right here by my computer!! Oh my god.

I can deal for one night, but srsly. how??1! so stupid.
