Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's funny how surprised I was that everyone in my office called it a "flu vaccine." Because of course that's what it is, and many of them are medical professionals.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Heh. I call it a "flu shot" because I'm lazy, and one syllable saves me SO MUCH EFFORT compared to the 2 syllables of "vaccine." (But I know it's a vaccine, if that gets me any points.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, not childhood vaccines anyway.

The conspiracy theories are totally different.

I need to get a flu shotvaccine, and I'm also ridiculously overdue on my DTaP booster. I should call my doctor, unless the CVS or Kroger little clinic can do the DTaP along with the flu vaccineshot.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

As someone on tumblr said, all US cases of Ebola happened to people trying to help. So Republican governors have nothing to worry about.

BAM!

I call it a flu shot. It's a needle, it's a shot to me. Important word to me: NEEDLE. Whether it's vaccine or anesthetic or a draw, it's a POINTY THING IN MY SKIN ON PURPOSE.

Shot.

One word about which I am not etymologically precise, because, reasons.

I was literally confused for a minute. "Don't you mean a FLU SHOT??.... oh, right."

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So far only Franny has had her flu vaccine, but not a shot; we went with flu mist. Need to get her bro to the doc to get his too. I keep forgeting the ease of going to CVS for myself. Duh!

Is there one place in particular she isn't doing well? can you find a tutor for that subject?

Yes and no. Her math and science teacher is erratic and demaning in his grading and not a great teacher, so she's not doing well in those subjects, but up until this year math was real strength of hers. I think it's more work habits, reading comprehension, and retention.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My kids both got flu mist this year too. I got a shot. Not as ouchy as last year's (where my arm swelled up and looked like I was smuggling a bowling ball in my sleeve).

Yeah, Jessica, I'm getting the mist this year, because that same reaction happened to me both times I got the...vaccine.

The kids and I got flu shots. (mr. flea is a grown man and can deal with his own vaccinations.) I have to call the doctor to figure out when I am supposed to bring Casper in for her round-2 HPV vaccination. I think there are 3 total and 8 weeks between, so she's due for round 2.

Yes, I have an 11 year old and I am vaccinating her against the virus that causes genital warts (and cervical cancer). Because odds are good that someday she will have sex. Also, she asked for underarm deodorant yesterday, and borrowed mine, but I think we'll be buying her her own next weekend.
