Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's because they moved it! It always used to be the last weekend in October, but now it's the first weekend in November. The more you know!

Was it here or Facebook that flea was telling a story about thinking Jorge Quiroda's name was "Ho Dicky Doda"?

OMG, that still makes me laugh.

Maybe a little walk and then I can work on the thing I 100% have to get done today.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Glad to hear that Cosmo is back, Strix!

I spent the whole weekend guiding my daughter through her homework. At this point, I feel like an utter failure who has made the wrong decision at every turn in my daughter's education. And to make matters worse, not sure if we have the resources to fix it now. Ugh!

What I wrote: "I got yer back, man!"

What I really think, "First of all, seriously? You shouldn't even have to for that, but... SNOPES! Jesus."

So much more importantly -- yay, Cosmo!

First thing--voting early. I have Tea Party candidates to foil.

My brain appended, "...and Guilder to frame for it." Except, no framing needed. It's a credit-worthy pursuit.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yep. Except we have an old phone system here and my phone automatically set itself back an hour. Which resulted in me going to lunch an hour later, as I hadn't noticed the phone was wrong until 2:00.

You are not a failure, Burrell! You are doing the best you can. And your daughter will be fine. I am confident she will not end up illiterate.

My brain appended, "...and Guilder to frame for it."

I must remember to pace myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Some group put their leftover pizza in the communal kitchen. Lunch for -t, hooray!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Every time I hear about parents and kids and homework, it makes me glad I never had kids. I don't remember it being this frustrating as a young person. In fact, once I got to 6th grade, I did all my homework in school, while in other subjects. Except art and big projects. Now it seems like there are so many big projects! We did one per year.

Also, my mother did not help me with my homework because I was so mean about it if she tried! But she wasn't in class with me, so how would she know what to do!

Because books.

Aw, Burrell, you're not a failure. Kids are human, which is both the good thing and the bad thing, you know? You're trying your best with love and good intentions, and that's what a parent is supposed to do!

Our wings are not tired.

I second guessed my kid school choices about a billion times. Bottom line, you love them, they know you are there for them. That is what they need.
