I'm calling her Scarface for now. It looks a couple of days old, but it's a surface scrape and it doesn't appear suppurating or infected. .
She is following me ALL around the house. I love it
Strix, did you find her, or did she find her way home?
Enough adventures, Cosmo, stay snug at home in your hobbit hole.
In me news - this waking up in the cold and dark is, well, I was gonna say for the birds but birds famously wait until sunrise. Daylight Savings Time had gone on for too long is my point.
Also, I said this in Bitches, but it's worth saying again:
Yay, Cosmo!
Anne, I got a humane feral cat trap from the Humane Society Sunday, and put it by the side of the house Sunday, and nada. I put it, baited with a sheet Cosmo had slept on, and an open can of tuna back by the side of the garage, where it's wilder, and sprinkled tuna juice all over the back yard and smeared on the fence at cat level leading to the trap.
And my husband checked it this morning, and came in and woke me up (possibly the only thing besides a fire or intruder he would EVER wake me up for!) and THERE SHE WAS! Terrified, and yowling, and with a big scrape a couple of days old on her face.
It's been a couple of hours and she's had her scrape cleaned, and all the animals have greeted her, and she's sat on my lap and been loved on. And now she's on her blankie in my office, sleeping.
CO2 is more of a problem in newer house construction, where the houses are more air-tight and energy-efficient. If you've got a leaky old house like mine, it would have to be an extraordinary amount of gas before you'd notice.
Oh Strix, that is just so beautiful to read.
I keep turning around to look at her, and I can't stop smiling!

Thank you, Theo. This house is probably '50s construction and has lots of little leaks.
