I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sounds nice, Jesse.

I had a tuna sandwich for dinner. But I'd had two pieces of toast and an apple for the rest of the day, so it was pretty much the best tuna sandwich ever.

Thanks, Kat. It's most definitely not a need for me or anyone I'm feeding (which is noone), but the six minute hot soup had me transfixed. OK, and the orange chocolate fondue. And the way it confetti-ed ice.

Sounds like a fun evening, Jesse. Great to have cool family so close.

I seem to be watching Star Wars Rebels.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I said to my mother, it was like Thanksgiving, only less so, which kind of made it better?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm apparently having one of those rare "eat ALL the things!" hangovers.

That's usually what happens to me, the next day I am a garbage disposal. And very susceptible to suggestion when it comes to food.

Now I have a pot pie in the oven. (Not a frozen one in a tinfoil pan; a from-scratch-takes-over-an-hour-to-prep-and-cook homemade pot pie.) It needs to be ready NOW.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have turkey legs in the slowcooker with curry simmer sauce. Smells so good!

Oh man, one of the neighbors must have major sewage issues. City was out with the snake truck, but it just left and an even bigger truck labeled 'RamJet' arrived.

By the time I got back from my swim, there were enough new leaves for another bag if I were so inclined. I was not.

But the kitchen is now mopped.

Jesse, sounds like a good visit.

'RamJet'

Eek!

I swept up a barrel+ of leaves yesterday, and I definitely should have done more. After Tuesday, we'll have two empty yard waste barrels at least -- there was a barrel in the garage with yard waste from years past still in it! Oy.

Yeah, that's one of the problems with the disposal thing. Once you figure out what you want, you want it NOW! NOW! NOW!

For the last 5 houses on the block , front, alley and side, we got 8 bags. And these are just the preliminaries. Our trees are still full of green leaves.

I gave myself a blister on my nondominant hand. Leaves or vacuuming, who knows.

Because books.

TJ's blue cheese and pecan dip

Ooooh. Tell me more of this!

I had a bowl of bow-tie pasta with butter for dinner because I was just that lazy. But then S. picked Ben up from work and came home with DQ for me!
