Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The benefits of being a half-assed housecleaner: Have already done items 1, 2(started), 4 and 5 on my list! Now just floors.

Floors handled! You know, more or less. Also, Tumblr queue loaded up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My dad taught me to scour cast iron with a brush under really hot water and then put it back on the burner after you dry it to evaporate any lingering moisture.

OMG, nerds. Bob Edwards has someone on his show who wrote a book (?) about the UN Security Council called "Five to Rule Them All."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Having a dishwasher makes my life so much better, but I still let dishes pile up in the sink.

Me too. This is something I have come to accept about myself. It's not hurting anyone.

Well, to be accurate, I let my dishes pile up on the counter. In the sink= in my way.

I slept for ten hours last night and still feel like maybe that wasn't enough.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm in the middle of organizing our freezers--regular one and the chest freezer we got this year. Did the regular one, the most onerous of the freezers, and am throwing away so much stuff. Ugh. I've gotten pretty religious about labeling so I hope that helps minimize this issue in the future. Also keeping a list of what's in each freezer right by each.

Man, I have every kind of nut, many in multiple formats. Almonds--whole, slivered, sliced, smoked!

That Frankenstein encore is playing near me, this time, but only on Monday and Wednesday evening. I don't know if I can manage weeknight movie going.

I'm upgrading all the Macs in the house to Yosemite. This started last night when DH's computer suddenly decided it didn't want to connect to our router and every other troubleshooting technique suggested by the interwebs failed. My laptop upgraded in about three minutes and is now running beautifully. The Mini we use as a media center and DH's MacbookPro are taking their sweet time.

I did my mini on Thursday, took a couple of tries due to my ongoing memory issues with that computer but otherwise went smoothly. Nervous about upgrading the laptop for some reason.

One gargantuan bag of leaves collected and more already piling up. Ah, fall. Now I gotta go vacuum and mop. Which might be frustrating as I need new belts for the vacuum.

Pumpkin really likes chicken empanadas.
