Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I have a secondary gmail address that uses my married name. I just torpedoed someone's Pandora and instagram accounts.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Unrelated -- the friend whose diabetic cat I'm watching? Who tried to commit suicide last week? Has signed herself out of psych, argued them into giving her a bus voucher to Boston, and intends "to find a floor to sleep on" tonight.

Did I mention there's Nor'easter tonight here? And she doesn't have a coat (presumably in her luggage, which I have)? And the reason she tried to suicide last week is nowhere to stay?

I think cat watching may have just gone long-term.

At least he's not much of a problem (don't ask the resident cats, though.)

Why is it that people have to have crises when the weather is awful? Why can't we deal with this on a sunny, warm day? Why is she going to be arriving in Boston long after the shelters are full up for the night?

I really really don't want to put her up. I actually hardly know her aside from Facebook, which is not enough to invite into my house. Also, I feel that I'm doing more than enough by taking her cat. It was ON HER to work with the psych hospital and social worker to find a housing solution.

No matter what happens, I'll probably have to go out tonight, if only because SHE DOESN'T HAVE A COAT WITH HER. I don't even think she has a change of clothes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Saw the eclipse successfully! Hooray! And showed two of my co-workers how to use a pinhole camera/make shadow puppets to see an eclipse, so that was fun.

No, once she moves in, you're going to be person-watching longterm as well.

I feel like running to my Mommy, truly. There has to be an adult out there who can help me.

That doesn't sound good, Theo. I hope she's okay and does not become your responsibility.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, Theo. You can't take her on, but I hope you can help her in some way.

Does everyone know there's a solar eclipse starting in about 15 minutes?

I just felt bad about missing it, except there was no sun here at all. This is a huge-ass storm! 24+ hours on and off.
