I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, meara!

I have a Filipino person who I think is harassing me now, because I it was kind of contentious the first time they signed up with my email address--to a hacking site. That's my ita.ita.ita address.

I get a surprising amount of (>2) Facebook accounts set up with my real name and my ita.lastname email address. At least one of them has seemed entirely sincere, with pictures, and friends of people living within the area she said she did. That was easy--I messaged a friend and told them I was nuking it.

Now I just put a message on the timeline that I'll nuke it in fifteen days.

Unrelatedly, whey people started creating fonts, I wonder if they realised they'd be replacing handwriting. The lack of ability to express oneself individually through fonts is remarkable (either you can't tell them apart or it's your phD thesis in Comic Sans (I think my sister would accept that)). And the assumption that every letter should be rendered the same every time (I just got weirded out by a font that didn't--ds inside words were very different from sequential ds or ds at the start and end of words in Caflisch Script Pro.

Which would be nice, on a regular basis--have a font consist of 40+ letters for a given alphabet, maybe more. Would be nicer to read.

I would HOPE they wouldn't get cranky about it.

Back in the halcyon days of previous employer, not only was everyone especially graceful (except for the one chick with the egg sandwich) people not only cut down on certain smells, food and recreational, but my cubemate would stop people from coming in with bad smells, or deliberately eat somewhere else and mint up afterwards. I don't expect that from everyone, but it was exceptionally touching.

Damn, I was expecting Tennant to use a British accent in Grace Point. His American is wobbly.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I know, shrift. I'm just frustrated. I can't imagine living my life being that clueless.

I can usually smell her about 10 feet before she walks by me, the other will leave an ... aura ... everywhere she goes.

Yeah, someone in my condo building occasionally leaves a cologne vapor trail in the front entrance.

Thanks guys that commented in the huge time it took me to compose my post.

Y'all just need less common names.

I'll get RIGHT on that.

Problem is, many of my stole-my-addy emails come in a language I don't understand--Filipino and Japanese mostly. And then there are the Irish.

I hear you. I have a ongoing feud with some dude in Australia who keeps signing up for accounts for things like TripAdvisor and sites to sell used cars with my gmail address.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I see people doing really dumb stuff a lot. Standing in the middle of a busy intersection to text, for one. Another was the guy who was walking along, staring at his phone, heading for the escalator ... only he didn't notice he was about to try to go up the down escalator and was quite surprised when he stepped on and got moved backwards.

In non-idiot news, job ma for ita!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have a ongoing feud with some dude in Australia who keeps signing up for accounts for things like TripAdvisor and sites to sell used cars with my gmail address.

Mine is named Lisa. She lives in Indiana and she graduated from High School last spring. She has a lot of random website profiles out there with changed passwords she can't recover (because I get the reset emails. repeatedly.) and profile bios saying "this account was set up by someone who doesn't even know her own email address".

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My husband got emails from a someone else's credit union account. It took us a while to convince them that it might be a security risk, and they might wanna fix it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'll get RIGHT on that.

Look, you get yourself a last name that (counts on fingers) a dozen other people in the world share, problem solved. This is me solutioning, ita!
