I had a dream that she called and we talked like nothing happened, then she said things that made me feel not guilty, and I said I wouldn't stay long for thanksgiving, and it was all very nonjudgmental. I don't usually have wish-fulfillment dreams.

I figured that had to be why northbound Lake Shore Drive was shut down. I decided to walk home from work today before I saw all the police barriers and the helicopters and a huge turboprop aircraft over Lake Michigan. Not having any traffic on LSD for a few miles while I was walking the lakefront path was really weird. Now I'm glad I made that choice and got exercise rather than spending it sitting on a bus in traffic.
