Also, I'm living proof that you can TOO be a skinny, reasonably active person with bad blood numbers!
You already are eating right. I got mine down to borderline with oats but never further. If you don't have any other related health issues, then my totally non-doctor opinion is that this may be your body normal. The doctor has to make the suggestions; he would be irresponsible if he didn't. But I wouldn't go crazy with denying yourself.
He says he's got a redtailed hawk perched on his windowsill waiting out the rain.
Nice visitor!
It is my anniversary today, which means it is also JZ's birthday, I think! Happy birthday JZ!
My DH is in Maputo, so I am celebrating by taking two 5-year olds to a swim lesson and ordering pizza at the pool.
Happy anniversary, Sparky!
I am geography-ignorant and had to Google Maputo, and... wow. That's quite far away and quite a place. Is he at the UN meeting that's going on there right now, or on other business?
I'm celebrating by going to work, which I have to get dressed for any minute. Possibly the red dress. Then this afternoon Matilda's circus camp student show, then a splitting-the-difference dinner for all of us with my dad (his birthday was yesterday and Hec's is tomorrow).
Happy anniversary to the Sparky couple!
Happy birthday to the lovely JZ!
Happy anniversary, Sparky! I will also have to look up Maputo, though.
Happy birthday, JZ!
Happy anniversary Sparky and DH!
Happy birthday JZ!
Today is also my mom and step-dad's anniversary. 27 years. She and my dad were married 39 years before he passed away. He always said he wanted equal time. I hope he gets his wish. Honestly, I know that my mom would not be around to celebrate her 93rd birthday this summer if she hadn't remarried after she was widowed. I'm so grateful for him. Wish my siblings would get that! Get over it already sibs, he's not dad. And yes, it apparently is going to last.
Oddly enough, I've been to Maputo.
One of my friends is visiting Turkey now. She's black. Apparently black people are rare in Turkey, because some Turkish people came up to her and asked if they could take their picture with her. She posted about this on facebook, and a few of her friends said that the same thing had happened to them in a few other countries.
Oddly enough, I've been to Maputo.
That's not odd at all.
I'm so glad I didn't take up my sister's offer to visit Turkey next week. Ha!
In Russia I was a constant centre of attention, attracting crowds of schoolkids and pointing adults, as well as one excitable man who "really loved niggers!" He was there with his camera for the Negroes too.
Best 7AM call ever. The MRI machine at Santa Monica was down so I got my 9AM appointment switched with a 7:45 Westwood one, where I met a nice Jamaican young man named Mark Antony (that's his first name) and was able to stage a minor sit in to get my prescription refilled at my migraine doctor's office.
Despite me having told him to his face a week ago, he didn't write it until I showed up. 1 email, 2 phone calls, and no one did shit.
