Fuuuuck. Just had a traumatic phone call. Should be more traumatic for other people, but now I hope they don't make it worse. At least there was pie in the conference room.

I had TWO loud angry mentally ill patrons in one hour at the desk just now. One is one of the only regulars at the library who scares me. Sigh.
Oy, flea. That sucks.
This morning I got to work only to realize that the laptop bag I'd told myself not to forget was still at home, so I had to turn around with a coffee in hand to get my work machine. Yesterday I forgot my phone and had to turn around. I blame yesterday's migraine and today's migraine hangover for my failboating.
I scalded my left hand about an hour ago.
Both the hockey teams I follow lost their games. This has been a shitcake of a week.

Oh man, I kind of threw someone under the bus about my work trauma, to my boss -- and I said I would not say that outside of our department! So he just said he's going to say it in a meeting of higher-ups he was on his way to. Not quoting me. This is why he's my favorite.
Finally caught after weeks being behind on this thread. brackets and -ma for all that needs them. That is all.
I hope yesterday's interview goes for your breadth of knowledge, ita.
That sucks, flea. Can your library restrict access for dangerous/disruptive people?
Jesse, I hope your boss can get things worked out for you
And I'm glad diabetic kitty is ok.
I'm home again. My cat seemed happy to see me, and my apartment is cool and quiet. So nice.
Thanks, Calli. Sadly, no one can really get this situation worked out, at least not in the short term. Even more sadly, I'm afraid our fanciest higher-up just did 100% the wrong thing in response. BUT NO ONE ASKED ME.
Cat is home from Cat Hospital -- and because he never needed an IV run, they knocked $300 off the estimated bill. Currently he's discovered the screen window and is gazing down on the backyard.
Timelies all!
Trying to figure out what to do with my folks that won't involved a lot of walking, as my mom's sciatica is still acting up. Will brainstorm with Gary when he gets home.
