We are apparently chipping in to get my manager flowers for Boss Day. I told my co-workers I didn't want to, but that was last week and the other team in our department got their manager something so I guess we don't have much choice. Irritating.
Ugh. Totally stupid holiday AND inappropriate to ask people to give gifts upward.

Well, I've finished my face-to-face interviews for the IL position. We actually finished a bit early, because various schedule issues led to the break being eliminated. Which was fine with me. The potential coworkers seem great, the working space is nice, the job itself looks like a good combo of challenging and interesting. And the retirement plan issues that concerned me were addressed by HR, so that's good. My lift to the town tour they set up doesn't get here for another half hour though, so they set me up in a really lovely library space to hang out until then. I should hear one way or another in 3-4 weeks.
