"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

This is why people don't like to be the downstairs neighbor, huh?

I was just about to add that there's also the fact plumbing problems flow down, but the universe beat me to it.

Oh, I forgot Thailand, Bhutan, Japan, lots of Asian states. But they don't often appear in the royalty blogs I follow. Those sites are unapologetic devotees of pretty clothes and jewelry. Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor [link] is my favorite. They did fun coverage of the various royals attending the London Olympics, and today is Tiara Thursday.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

List of current sovreign monarchs.

Thank you for that rabbit hole, Tom. The list of pretenders is fascinating.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

She's decided to just get up when she wakes up at 5 and either go for a walk or do stuff around the house

I laughed when I read this: what else is she supposed to do?!

(maybe a fan or a white noise machine for you!)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Kat, congrats!

Suela, I'm happy the choice is made and it's lifted some weight off your shoulders.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I laughed when I read this: what else is she supposed to do?!

I know, I know. Just traditionally she would stay in bed and try to go back to sleep! Which I only know because she is my mother and not just my neighbor. I think I'll just get used to it -- white noise does not work for me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've gotten used to the train (mostly. The whistle sometime wakes me up thinking "what on earth is that noise?" and I have to actually think for a while before I remember the train goes by several times a day and always whistles. Brains are weird) so I suspect if she's pretty regular in the time she gets up you'll be able to sleep through eventually.

We are apparently chipping in to get my manager flowers for Boss Day. I told my co-workers I didn't want to, but that was last week and the other team in our department got their manager something so I guess we don't have much choice. Irritating.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I fucking hate boss day. Everyday is fucking boss day with the company card for lunch and the getting stuff your way and the driving a company car and getting paid more money. Fuck this made up holiday.
