That's awesome, Kat! I'm so pleased for you.

I've decided, after the last week, that I just don't want to go back into private consulting, and I'm not going to apply for any more consulting gigs. At least, not unless I'm desperate. But I'm not desperate; I make a good salary right now and my boss clearly wants me to stick around, and even if the work isn't super exciting, it's work I can support doing. (I'm not helping ruin the groundwater of North Dakota, for instance.)

So I may continue applying for public sector jobs as they come up, but for the next six months or so, I'm not going to sweat the job hunt. Which gives me time and mental energy (I hope) to get my kitchen done.

Thanks, Kat. There are internal positions I'm definitely interested in, but I'd probably have to move across the country to the Bay Area.
