Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Dear self, if you take the over mitt off your hand, do NOT reach in with THE SAME HAND to pull the oven rack. It will only result in pain. No love. Me.

I do that ALL THE TIME. Weird mental block of some sort.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I ordered this dress from eShakti, with elbow-length sleeves, and it just arrived, and it is PERFECT. It's a late birthday present, and it fits like a dream. [link]

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Oooh, nice! I have a retro-inspired polka-dot (what a shock) dress from eShakti, and I love it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have slathered the burnt fingers with soothing cream and have a glove over them so I can keep working. 24 cupcake baked and cooling. I'm taking a lunch break and then will move onto baking the strawberry cake and cutting up strawberries for the filling.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

After that there is a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting to bake and assemble.

This sounds so good. Please to send a small piece via the tubes?

I do that ALL THE TIME.

I'm more likely to use potholders rather than an oven mitt - and to burn the back of my hand or my wrist or something because paying attention to the WHOLE HAND is apparently more than I can manage.

eta: So Cute, Strix!

It fits gorgeously. I got the right length, and the perfect sleeve for me, and I got a really good deal, and it has POCKETS! And I haven't had a pretty new dress in about 4 years and I LOVE IT.

I'm afraid a guard like that would just lead to me burning myself on another part of the rack out of a false sense of security.

Okay, I need an executive decision. I'm doing a retro pin-up photoshoot for Tim's birthday in 2 weeks (SUPER nervous), and they have a bunch of sets to choose from. I told Tim he could pick, since it's his birthday present, and he picked the kitchen set definitely, and for the other is torn between schoolteacher and secretary. He told me to pick, and I totally can't.

If you're on FB (and I think even if you aren't), you should be able to see these photo sets from the studio -- this is the secretary set: [link] and this is the schoolteacher set: [link] (This is the kitchen, which is a definite yes already: [link] (Some of those kitchen shots are lingerie, but I am wearing a dress or a sweater/skirt.)
