Timelies all!
We got a crockpot as a wedding gift, and have used it a handful of times. Mostly to make chili, but I did make oatmeal one time last year.(Note to self: check the box of rolled oats to be sure it is still usable.) I bought a cookbook for slowcooker recipes, but haven't really used it.

My shoulders and neck are killing me. I really wish I had some better pain management for days like this.
Anne, is she ready to make any kind of plan? I don't know what it would be, but it sounds like some long-term changes are in order....

In this area. There is a group called. SAVE. That deals with all kinds of domestic violence issues. Even if your mom isn't ready to deal wirth it directly, you might look for a group like that for advice.

Ow, crap. My living room is really cluttered, but I can't really clean up with my shoulder this bad. Just tripped over some of the clutter, put my arm out to stop the fall, and hurt my shoulder worse.

I think right now, Mom needs to get over some physical and mental exhaustion before she can start making any kind of decisions. She's asleep upstairs right now, and Finn has been keeping her company.
