Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

t seemed like it was 80% crust. The ratio was just off.

I had the same problem with TJ's brie en croute. Too much croute per brie.

No matter how awake I am, really not down with being at work before sunrise. Gnergh.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

In your defense, sunrise has gotten later of late.

Still too damned early.

And I just realized my next hair appt is the same saturday as the marathon, the one day getting south or west of the city is just stupid. And besides, I want to go cheer the runners on. I'm going to have to reschedule….

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

pumpkin spice is just cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, isn't it?

Pumpkin spice lattes are the demon spawn of Starbucks, who concocted the beverage about 11 years ago.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Can you get a pumpkin spice chai latte? And is it like chai squared?

I ought to be able to make a statistics joke out of that.

Edited to correct autocorrect, sigh

From the NYT coverage:

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday denied review in all five pending same-sex marriage cases, clearing the way for such marriages to proceed in Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The move was a major surprise and suggests that the justices are not going to intercede in the wave of decisions in favor of same-sex marriage at least until a federal appeals court upholds a state ban.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh.

Also, hooray!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And is it like chai squared?

Nerd! No, it made me laugh, because many articles that I edit cite the Chi square test. (And it's a testament to how ingrained the style manual is that it made me twitchy to type it as "Chi square," rather than a Greek chi symbol and a superscript 2.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No matter how awake I am, really not down with being at work before sunrise. Gnergh.

Today is my last day of the cat sitting that requires me to be at another person's house between 6 and 6:30 am and pm. Which is good because I'm so over it.

I worked with a person who went on a Starbucks run and came back with a Pumpkin Spice Latte for me because they didn't "understand" my order. I asked for coffee. Just coffee. I'm thinking that encouraging her to apply for the job in Tucson that she starts today was genius on my part. Because seriously, I asked for coffee. How hard is that?
