Your neighborhood sounds awesome.
I do water then breakfast then coffee, typically. Unless I go out for breakfast and they start bringin me coffee immediately. I have taken to keeping a water bottle on my nightstand so I can get that first cup in me before I even get up, and then have another with my morning meds.
Speaking of, I have broken my fast (which I decided to keep for only 12 hours because Reasons) n that I've had some water. I think I'll go see how the bagels are at the coffee bar.
It is my idea of perfect weather here (partly cloudy, mid-60s), and I have a cold, so I can't appreciate it. Better now than over the next few weeks which have job interviews, though. Oh well. Eventually I'll get up the energy to take a shower today (yesterday didn't quite reach those heights of ambition) and it'll probably be the best thing ever.
ita, I'm glad the meds situation is working out a bit better.
That is fantastic, Steph!
High five for the awesome suggestion to your neighbors, Steph!
Weird question: is anyone else a two-fisted drinker in the morning?
Oh, yeah. I usually have a can of La Croix in one hand and a coffee cup in the other.
We're looking at a high of 97 today. It's not that hot yet, but it's pretty warm for this early.
Coffee bar was closed, woes! I am at a loss.
Love it, Steph!
Must remember to talk to my doctor about medical marijuana. They've yet to set up any dispensaries here in MA, I believe the protocol is setting you up with a private (licensed) grower with very strict conditions.
Right now I'm at about 5 for discomfort, having taken Tylenol about two hours ago, so anything that I could do that wouldn't involve opiates (which add vague nausea to my condition) would be a good thing.
You guys, I thought I was feeling better when I woke up today, but even though I've eaten a normal breakfast (oatmeal with applesauce, protein powder, and strawberries, followed by a banana), I have what feel like low-blood-sugar shakes something fierce. I'm full from breakfast, so I don't know what to do. (Tim is at work, or else I'd be bothering him with this. Although he's HORRIBLE at crises, and generally just sits there looking at me with a really worried look on his face and doesn't offer ANY help, including asking if I want to go to urgent care. He freezes up and just looks worried. And I'm sure he is genuinely worried, but he's zero help at a solution. If I tell him what I neeed -- aka, please drive me to urgent care now -- he'll do it, but he will never ever EVER come up with a solution on his own, and I truly fear for the day I break a bone and he can't decide on his own that that warrants a trip to the ER.)
Anyway, side rant about husband over. What the shit should I do? Eat more? If so, what? I'm really full and don't want more food, but these shakes are worrying me. Oatmeal with fruit and protein powder covers the complex carbs/fiber as well as a lot of protein. So what now?
Peanut butter on a spoon is what I do in that situation.
This house has no shortage of peanut butter. I can give that a shot.
Sorry you're hurting, Theo.
Starbucks drive thru + gift card = breakfast. It's not good, and it's not what I ordered, exactly, but that's what I get for deciding to eat.
ETA: yikes, Tep! I hope the peanut butter helps.
