Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Buying a house AND tenure AND a smiling baby? Sounds like serious win to me. Also I third the request for pictures.
I wish I had good advice for ita. I hope Drew is on his way to Ireland now. I think a TSA guy at the San Diego airport just recognized me, which is frightening because I'm not at THIS airport all that often!
I want to see the Northern Lights too (never have)!
I don't really have a bucket list, per se (hello, complacency), but I would like to see the Northern Lights. It doesn't have to be in Iceland, though. Although Iceland would be cool, too.
So far my bucket list is: Northern Lights, Grand Canyon. Maybe do a 10K (walking, not running). (Of course, I haven't even done a 5K yet, so I suppose that should be first.)
Shooting high, that's me.
I have an ipad mini! And I don't think I broke my mail. (And yet, I'm on my laptop now.)
I think I officially have too many devices.
I wanna see more bonbaby!
Because of swimming, I usually shower at least 2x a day. 3 if you count the pre-swim rinse. Days off might just be the swim showers. Days off with feethly making work around the house? There might just be 3 or 4.
What's the story about going to Iceland for the eclipse?
It is a Thing that is Totally Happening but is not so much concretely planned yet. I have a credit card with a high limit and I am not afraid to use it in the interest of (a) seeing a total eclipse and (b) going to Iceland (which I have wanted to do all my life for no particular reason and dammit, I'm going to go!)
I was looking at this tour package, because that would be easy. I think their write up did mention Northern Lights (which I would also love to see and never have). I would be happy to consider less packaged possibilities, of course, but probably wouldn't be able to pull together much myself.

Likewise!!

Thing! I think we'd probably not do a tour, but, literally just started talking about going today so who knows?! I'll definitely stay in the planning loop.
I would also like to see the Nothern Lights. Which, being sort of north, is totally not an impossible dream, but I still haven't seen them.
Potato Salad = made. In my effort to not make way too much I hope I have not made not enough.
I want to see the Northern Lights, someday. But I'm still hoping the next big trip will be Kilimanjaro. Although not going to happen if I don't get over this dizziness soon.
ita, I'm so sorry, and I hope the steroids help.
bon, many congratulations to all of you! That's awesome.
Me, I made brown-sugar walnut bars, but discovered halfway through I'm out of walnuts. I substituted pecans, but I put in too many, and I hope they come out okay.
Kilimanjaro! Is that soon? I'm sorry you are still dizzy.
Brown sugar pecan walnut bars made with too many nuts sounds truly delicious. I am all about pecans lately. Yum.
Many congrats to bon and Bob!
ita, I am so sorry you have another Thing to deal with.
Drew, FFS, may you get on your way to Ireland without further ado. (I hate ORD.)
I really want to go to Iceland with the eclipse and the auroras and the volcanoes.
