they remind me of something Charo would wear.
That makes me like them more! But really I probably like them because of Sophia's point. Sometimes I just can't stand my legs to touch each other.
ETA: I wonder if they'd be way too long for me? My inseam is probably a number I should know.
msbelle, you are missing Brooklyn 9-9.
It is quite good and starting tonight.
Oh, ita, I hope you're not too banged up.
Is
Grimm
on anyone else's list?
I'll be watching it. It's gotten pretty interesting IIRC.
I kind of want to watch Stalker for Maggie Q, but other than her I'm not sure about it.
The upside to those pants for me would be eliminating chub rub without wearing bike shorts or tights
Exactly. Super-long, super flouncy bloomers! If they ever get worn out of the house, they'll be under skirts.
So it probably isn't helpful to go to the Y director and inquire as to why the citywide aquatics position hasn't been filled after > 6 months when you know they have at least 3 qualified applicants? All 3 well respected Y alumni? I mean, I know it's not helpful. Our director is just so dismal when it comes to hiring in a timely manner. And hiring in general. I mean, he offered signing bonuses for lifeguards this summer, but didn't put in a probationary period. So we got a bunch of high schoolers during the summer who predictably quit as soon as summer ended and at least 2 who went to work for summer private pools halfway through (one run by one of the AD applicants!) I mean, c'mon. And of course that pissed off the senior guards who ran the damned place for 3 months with no coordinator or director and no raises or budget for certifications. The pool is a popular place for the neighborhood, but is treated like a poor cousin. I swear, I sometimes wonder if it isn't some inferiority complex by the director- it's well known he can't swim...
I guess I put that in the next survey, huh? Well, not the last bit.
(This brought to you by one of the applicants- my fav- bringing her son to the pool tonight and then an extensive gossip session with her, the guard and THEN mentioning to the head of child services on the way out how happy I was to see Cheryl and getting an earful. I was an hour longer at the Y than normal.)
