Water heaters average 10-12 years. Ask me how I know.
In an apartment building, more like 7-8.
We skipped Rosh Hashannah last night because we are lazy atheist Jews, but tonight I made brisket with onions and applesauce (and cumin-roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce), and have an apple crumble in the oven.
Oh, ita, that sounds awful. I hope the epidural does what it is supposed to and you get your meds tomorrow, or sooner if possible.
Cumin-roasted cauliflower sounds amazing. Speaking of, I just customized my CSA box for next week and cauliflower was an option, but seemed a pricey one. I went with bok choy and beets to replace the potatoes I shouldn't eat.
ita, I hate thinking of the reasons why Hubby's pain was managed so much more aggressively than yours is.

I roast mine with smoked paprika (and that's what I'm eating RIGHT NOW), but I'm going to try cumin next time. That sounds so good.
Cauliflower + EVOO + salt + cumin --> very hot oven (to get crispy outsides) then turn oven down (to get soft insides). Sauce is tahini + garlic + salt + lemon juice + water, and the hardest part is restraining yourself from eating the entire batch right out of the pan. Seriously one of the best effort-to-deliciousness ratios I know.
And my alopecia is back. Only one spot found but damn. I knew I was stressed. Grrrrr. It has been years since I had a spot.

He should have gotten all the attention he did, and more even, but the discrepancy sickens me.
Cauliflower instructions marked for later.
I'm sorry to hear that, Suzi. I, for one, would be shocked if your job is in danger. You do so much so well!
It is probably a bad idea for me to eat this whole duck and not go for a run. Came out delicious, will cook again, next time I have a duck and a whole day to cook it.
I hope the patches I sent were some help, at least.
