My sister in total cholesterol annoyance. My HDL is bananas good, but my doctor wants my total numbers to go down.
HDL, woo!
Also my sister was just diagnosed as pre-diabetic, so I need to bring that family history up again when I go in.
They always test my glucose, too, and that's always fine. So I've got that going for me. (To be fair, my dad not only has super mega heart disease, but also diabetes, so I'm happy to check my glucose, too.)
Oh, I think I've asked this before: does the Zombies, Run app work if you're on the elliptical?
It's supposed to work with a treadmill, although the one time I tried I didn't get the settings right to make it work. Ellipticals have that weird smoothness, but probably? Worth a try.
I think cholesterol numbers are as much genetic as dietary.
That's what the Lipitor ads say.

I shake my fist at my DNA.
I shake my fist at my DNA.
It won't work! Your DNA is INSIDE YOUR FIST!
A co-worker of mine met Holli at a fanzine event over the weekend, so Holli, if you're lurking, hi! Worlds colliding!
(And co-worker, if you're lurking, hi also! We should get back to work!)
t shrieks, runs, trips, falls, attacked by DNA
Yes, you should! And it'll totally work with strolling most of the time and walking briskly when the zombies are after you if that's what you want to do. The story is quite good, I often want to go for a run just because I want to find out what happens next.
Yeah, I need to get on to that. I took the dog for a really long walk around the lake this morning and it's perfect for something like that.
It probably looks pretty weird to passers-by when I say "Zombies, Walter, zombies!" and speed up, but I think he's learning how that works.
Total other topic: the articles I edit have lengthy reference sections, and the names of some of the authors make me laugh, because I am a 12-year-old. (Dr. Ramsbottom, I am looking at you.)
Is his first name Richard (yes, I'm 12 also)?
