I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's hard to understand, Tep. HDL up: good + LDL down: good = overall up: bad? Huh. Anyway, go you!

T-Rex tagline highfive, tommyrot!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so sick of passwords! I started out with one, then I had to add various numbers and symbols and capital letters, and now there are so many variations I am constantly having to reset. It is making me crazy.

I should do the affirmation thing, but I don't know what to tell myself. Hm.

Yeah, the balance of the different kinds of cholesterol is weird. Total cholesterol is HDL + LDL + 20% of the triglycerides. My triglycerides also went up a little, but they're still well within the recommended limit (on their own, I mean, not as part of my total cholesterol). So the increased HDL and the increased (yet still okay) triglycerides bumped my total number up a little. I'm not overmuch concerned, since the overall trend is good. I'm seriously annoyed at my oatmeal, though.

brillig

Anymore I just go "Still living? Still have all my limbs? Fair enough. Try to ease off on the carbs, woman" when it comes to my numbers.

I have no idea what my numbers are or what they should be. My doctors tell me and I try very hard to retain at least what, say, my blood pressure ought to be (note to self, drop by a pharmacy and check it) but it's pretty much in one ear and out the other.

Yeah, I look at how much my veggie intake has increased since January, and I'm pretty happy with that. I do need to get back to the gym instead of just walking outside, but that's mostly because I'm like a junkie for endorphins. I'm lazy and would rather not work out, but then the endorphin rush when I'm done is AWESOME. I should download the zombie run app (which in my case would be zombie walk faster than a stroll).

Yes, you should! And it'll totally work with strolling most of the time and walking briskly when the zombies are after you if that's what you want to do. The story is quite good, I often want to go for a run just because I want to find out what happens next.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

There's also The Walk, if you want to incentivize yourself to park farther away from stores and things like that. It counts total minutes walked in the day (when it's on/tracking). Not so much with the endorphins, though.

Seriously, the switch to working from home has really reduced how much I walk throughout the day, because my bathroom is 20 steps away, instead of all the way down the hall (or in the other office tower, which is what I did to add steps in).

Tim suggested that every time I go to the bathroom, I head outside and walk to the corner and back. Because the neighbors don't think I'm crazy ENOUGH already.
