I have to say, the themes of my just get up already wake up dreams are hilariously predictable/awful anxiety: neverending thwarted packing, fighting with my father and set in some building with structural issues (this one had leaks and a ceiling cat falling through in the kitchen of my old apartment.) Often all combined. Even in my dreams, I have too many shoes.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yesterday I did not oversleep, but I sat down to rest my eyes at 10 am and slept until 4:30!!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yesterday I did not oversleep, but I sat down to rest my eyes at 10 am and slept until 4:30!!

That's a not insignificant nap.

There was no over nor undersleeping in Chez Zmayhem this morning.

Matilda staggered out and crawled into my lap and said one sentence: "I'm going to check to see if there are new episodes of What Not To Wear."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Wen to a houseparty/song circle last night. It was fun.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I starting waking up at 5 and fought it til 7, which feels like oversleeping. Not that I had something I needed to do early, particularly, but I meant to spring into action more than I have.

Then I had the last coffee popsicle of the summer (I plan to put all my ice cream and popsicle making supplies in the shed until spring or so, and I'm going to try going to my local coffee shop for my caffeine fix on the weekends rather than making coffee at home, support the local economy and whatnot), so maybe that'll help boost productivity? We'll see.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I went to yoga at 8:30 and came back to find we're going with another realtor, and she wants to bring a group of potential investors to look at the house Tuesday.

Now our house is basically clean, but we've been trying to declutter so my office is a crazy full dirty room, so my relaxing Sunday will be spent working on it like crazy, and doing laundry, and doing any other stuff I have time for. Dan will help, of course, but then I get to spend most of tomorrow deeper cleaning like a mofo.

(deep breath) At least the office will be mostly done.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I woke up at 8:00 after not being able to get to sleep until 1:30. I went to Wrigleyville to have breakfast with Miriam and she told me the horrible news that Gay Mart has closed! Sad now.

I dragged some Buffistas there during the first f2f so some of you might remember it.

Duck and pork tenderloin pulled out of freezer to thaw, breakfast made and eaten, one round of dishes washed, and (I'm proud of this one) shelf full of vases moved to make room for mason jars. Productivity probably on hold for duration of football, but maybe I can do stuff during the ads...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That's where Jon B got his silver jacket, right?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The whole "America's Sweetheart Loses Loving Husband to Dark Temptress" narrative.

My recollection from the era is that it was Jennifer's hairdo that was America's Sweetheart prior to the breakup.

I dragged some Buffistas there during the first f2f so some of you might remember it.

Wasn't that the outing where we serendipitously ran into Sumi on the way there?
