Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know it's not PC, but I really prefer the cage-raised ice cream.

I have so much work to do! I don't wanna! Blah.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I spent the night having (relatively mild, considering) anxiety dreams about not being able to make a big bang artist check in, and that I'd have to drop one author. But it turns out I don't have to show them anything until the 28th, so I just need to buckle down. But this one author is giving me anxiety attacks just thinking about her story. I can't seem to fit all her canon of a scene into one frame, oddly.

::deep breaths::

Going to call UCLA again. What is *with* those people? They contacted one of my references, and she tells me she gave them solid feedback and recommended they hire me, but for all their "let's get everything started!" attitude at my last interview, they are either really drawing this out, or think that I don't need to be told I didn't get the position. By the time you check resources, I think you owe the candidate an explicit "no." I just don't want to push their hand...but I need to know. I have to make plans.

Think good thoughts!

thinking good thoughts, ita!

I can hear babies crying for miles. Like Suzi, it depends on the cry.

Any news, ita?

I like Jeni's but agree it's way overpriced. They sell it here at the Gelsons for $12 I think.

Good luck, ita

More butterfat?

I heard Jeni (I think, someone with artisanal ice cream) on the radio last week or so. I didn't catch the part where she said what madew her ice cream so good, though (I mean, I think they teased that they were going to talk about that next, and then I parked, something like that).

If one more person replies-all that they are still getting the 'down' message, I'm going to strangle the lot of them. OF COURSE YOU ARE. THE PERSON OPENING ACCESS HASN'T DONE IT YET. Have you not noticed the LACK OF AN EMAIL FROM HIM???!

As a person doing hiring, I apologize to all candidates for the fact that I will be 100% ready to do something either way.... but I need approval from someone who is travelling this week.

I am so irritated. They finally hired a guy to fill the position we have had open since May. He started last week, been training piecemeal. I never got put on the google docs or e-mails about the schedule for when it's any particular persons turn to train and in what, so when he showed up today at my desk I was all "Wha?". Sadly, the thing I was supposed to show him I did in the hour before he came in, because I didn't know.

So now I have access to the schedule and I'm not on it except for today. Gah.

Not to mention that I am swamped today from trying to cover my one co-worker's accounts since her father just died (that is not anyone's fault, obviously, it is just more work for me to try to do while I don't know about the stuff I was apparently scheduled to do today...)

And I forgot to turn my crockpot on when I got here, so who knows when my lunch will be hot.

I've been told that too much butterfat in ice cream coast the tongue and blocks much of the flavor. Don't know if that is true or not.
