Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't remember whether I preferred any particular season or episode of SPN. I'm sure I must have.

I find there are these clubs:

  • everything after Kripke sucks
  • everything Gamble showran sucks
  • S5 was the rightful end
  • everything before Misha sucks
  • S1 sucks

I could work on a Venn diagram. Anyway, if you know which of those you belong to (I belong to none), it would help you narrow down seasons. As far as episodes go--all the finales is a good start, as well as I mentioned before, anything Cas-centric, and most of the high emotion or comedy episodes, like What Is and What Should Never Be or Changing Channels for me. I suppose they were aiming for high emotion or comedy in all of the episodes, but some are clearly more weighty than others, and I think their success rate with obvious emotional or comedic manipulation is very high.

Then again, racist trucks. I guess that episode does have clear appealing bits, but I stand by Bugs as being USELESS.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So guess who can't find the title to her old car?

It's in the house somewhere, but didn't make it back into the fire safe after we registered the car in Texas.

I'm checked in for my flight and my suitcase is mostly packed. I have my passport in my carry-on. I logged into work earlier and got some stuff done, but not as much as I should have. I definitely need to work on my performance review, but I guess I'll try to get the bulk of that done tomorrow since it clearly isn't happening tonight.

Wow! I had no idea that FB's facial recognition algorithm is performing at least one task almost as accurately as the human brain: [link] (97.25% for FB, 97.53% for humans). Probably because I rarely use it, but still. That has creepy potential.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't think any of those work for me. it's probably safe to say I liked all the finales, although I would have to look up summaries of the plots to be sure. I know there were at least a couple of episodes that were not generally liked that I loooved, but I can't remember what they were, or when they happened, or why I liked them so much.

Gah, Dana, what a drag! I hope it turns up quickly.

Where are you going, shrift?

I've been watching American Ninja Warrior intermittently all day. I guess I wasn't in the mood for it when the season started but the DVR caught most of it, and being able to fast forward through everyone's personal stories makes them go pretty fast. It's' such a joy to watch athletes exhibit such control over their bodies on such a challenging course. I cannot believe the sheer number of episodes though.

I actually started writing one of those up a couple years ago--you can see how (not) far that effort got: [link] . I should get back into that, while I'm gainlessly unemployed.

Or maybe I should focus on job hunting. Whatever.

Where are you going, shrift?

Canada, outside of Toronto. Work trip.

Oh, speaking of work. I think we have an icebreaker where I have to write down two things and people try to guess who it is. I have no idea what to write down.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Two things about yourself? Can you make shit up? How will they know if you did?

...this is why I'm self-employed, isn't it?
