I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

brillig

Connie, suggestion for the reward of faux-son: make him a scarf or other male-appropriate garment with the yarn you buy. Something that will give him the literal warm fuzzies, because he deserves them.

I asked him his favorite colors a couple of weeks ago for that very purpose. Now I need to empty a loom to work with--or buy another loom! Gasp!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The app we have in Rochester only gives you the pre-programmed schedule, not any info if the bus is running late. Which is really not that helpful!

My dream house when I am impossibly rich will have a pnuematic tube system.

Our Costco has pnuematic tubes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I feel certain I was trained to use pneumatic tubes somewhere, but I can't remember where or why. I've had a lot of jobs over the years. Maybe when I was bank teller?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

A lot of banks use them for the drive-through. (My grandpa was notorious for driving away with them. Occasionally my grandma would bake cookies or a pie for him to take to the bank when he sheepishly returned the tube.)

Yeah. I don't think we had a drive-through window at my branch, though. Or maybe we did and it just didn't get much use? I don't remember.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We had pneumatic tubes at the bank my parents used. For all I know my current bank still does, but I've never used their drive-through, so I don't know.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

8 million things are fucked up at work. In someway they are all going to be my fault. I hate everything. I am getting more and more convinced that I am not fit for work.

Always Anti-fascist!

Tep, I'm an author, and I'm totally a pain in the ass. Usually, not together.(But it does bother me in politics to hear "author" as a verb.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are doing layoffs and I got up at 3:45am to deal with the Chicago office. So far today I have fired 10 people. Seven more to go. This is a result of more efficiency and stuff here, so it's a good change, but, still. Hard day. MUCH harder for them, but still shitty for those of us doing the deed as well.
