Good morning, insomniacs.

That is kind of asshole. Though, if that was the only thing shared they were very lucky. I can think of lots worse things!

Am eating breakfast at the hotel after almost 11 hours sleep. Yes! Now to figure out what I'm doing today--it's raining so I'm thinking indoors.

Forgot it is the middle of the night where y'all are, mostly. So hello from the future! I wandered in circles for a couple hours. Granted, I only vaguely had destinations in mind, but dang, my sense of direction is usually much better! Am now back at the hotel to treat a blister (sadly after about an hour was like "hmm, I can feel a blister forming, better head back to the hotel!" But didn't managed to find the hotel for another hour or so, so too late to prevent the blister) and eat a sandwich. Possibly will then head back for a tour of the Jewish museums/synagogue etc. Was confused because the ticket price is listed as "tour"? And then there's an additional 80Kc charge for an English tour, maybe. Or something--I'm not sure if it's an up charge for English, or ticket vs tour guide, or what--seems like to enough for a tour guide ( it's about $4) but the ticket price didn't seem to include a tour guide, so who knows. They wouldn't sell it to me earlier because there have to be at least two people.

Enjoy Praha! Trying to think what I did that was visitory indoors, but drawing a blank. The castle?

I'm up and mobile but probably not making an 8 am pool time. Getting some coffee into me and trying to type around an attention seeking Pumpkin.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I have a really excellent sense of direction... except after long plane rides, it's like my Inner Compass misplaces its needle.

(I rather imagine it's like a little Egyptian 'ka', a winged skull flapping along gamely after the airplane, not able to keep up, but getting there eventually.)

meara, it's also a holiday weekend, so a large number of people who would be regularly here are sleeping in, or away on vacation. I sure hope you get to see the Jewish museums, they sound really cool!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Pfft. Amateur.

Hah--I was thinking of you when I wrote that, Billytea!

I realized a couple minutes ago that I would've had to leave a few more minutes ago to make the tour. Maybe tomorrow. I'd been thinking today just because most of the museums are closed Mondays. Time to actually look at the guidebook I guess!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just spent a not insignificant amount of time trying to figure out what that bright star I can just glimpse near the horizon might be. Have concluded it is probably a streetlight.

Have fun in the future, meara!

Ryan has spent a not insignificant amount of time tonight contemplating the stars as well, through the prism of Isaac Newton and Edmund Halley. He has informed me that I'm forbidden to watch Cosmos without him, as then I'll have seen things that he hasn't yet.
