Oboe reeds and used books- that is some high quality errand running.

Tub is still not drained but I think the water level has receded.

Given you still have some power but not to major appliances, my money is on Aurelia's guess about the leg (I think BGE referred to it as being out of phase when it happened to my neighbor. )You might put a call into your power co. It won't cost you anything and often they'll give a diagnosis, though not a fix, for anything power related. Electricity can be dangerous, I guess....

Helped (meaning brought a spray can trigger and talked to people) decorate a toilet on wheels this afternoon.

So much grinding to do tomorrow.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well that was handy. The blood-curling shrieks that seem to be the sole form of communication my new neighbor's toddler uses woke me up from a nap at just the right time to go get takeout for dinner.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Mmmmm, lemon meringue pie.

The oboe works! I was afraid the pads would need to be replaced, but it seems to be in good shape. Now I need to find my book of musical instrument fingerings so that I can do more than just make noise and freak the cats out. I haven't exposed them to the accordion yet. That should be fun.

I think I'll head out again to drop some books at the little free library nearby. I should make a habit of buying used paperbacks to drop there.

I decided to make one of the pies dinner. I think that was the right choice. Yum.

OMG, the local news did a half-hour on a tornado warning. I mean, I know that's a real thing, but you can actually just tell us what and where the one time! And extended information for people who are outside is probably not that helpful on the television.

10/21 things on my weekend to do list done. That seems okay. If I can avoid adding any more tomorrow and knock off some of the quick ones first thing I'll be in pretty good shape.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I did manage to get some pruning done this afternoon, so go me: I triumphed over the bougainvillea! And I did a little writing.

In other news, apparently some asshole found a security leak and hacked a ton of famous people's phones and shared their selfies on 4chan. How... I just don't have words for that kind of shit.

How awful.
