Yay on the second interview, ita!
As for Burning Man, yeah, no. I lived in Barrington Hall in the '80s, I have no need to go back and recapture the experience.

Ugh. I should really just de-friend this person I know who posts anti-vax links, all "SEE? This is why I am suspicious of the government!!" because I can't let it go by without posting the snopes link in the comments section...ugh.
I had a nasty bout of insomnia last night and got barely enough sleep. Woke up sometime before 1 and ended up taking a GABA at 1:15, then followed that with more melatonin at 4 am because I still hadn't slept. And then up again at 6:30 because the kids need to get to school. Ugh. I need a nap at some point today, but also need to do a bunch of housework and class prep.
I think my favourite thing about Skype is the video messaging. except my sister is abusing locations, like her bathroom. I'm trying to send from the doctor's office, but it's all scrambled.
Man, I need a different outfit for tomorrow. Would it be fair to dress down a tiny bit?
Didn't you have 3 options last time? What's the best option #2?
It means ironing, beige tights, and non-flats. I'd love to just toss on a tie on top of a button down and trousers like I faked business formal at the last job.
I would think a tie and a button down would be fine, but what do I know? I'm in academia. We have a very vague sense of business appropriate.
Yay ita!
Burrell, I shared your total lack of sleep last night. Ugh. I had a project deadline at 2 today so I've been going going going but I can feel the tank running dry now.
I also have not been getting sleep because stress. I'm trying to juggle work and errands that need to get done since I'm flying to Atlanta tomorrow, so I went to the ATM after my last meeting. On the way back, I got a high five from a dude working for the Human Rights Campaign because I already support equal rights, and then I saw someone dressed like she was straight out of an American Apparel ad which totally startled me out of my stress because I didn't realize there were people dressing like that in the wild! But I'm trying not to be judgmental, so I'll go with Tim Gunn's response: "Well, if that's the look you want, you sure have a good one."
I also feel like I'm about to drop, and I expect to be at work at least 10 hours today. My kingdom for a nap.
