Yay, ita! I hope it goes well.
So, did we know that Burning Man got rained out? This is a massive deal. I've never heard of it being even a possibility.
Around here, everyone knows someone who goes to Burning Man (I know at least 3 people, no, at least 4), so we're probably going to hear a lot about it as they come trickling back to town, very cranky, with all their uneaten brownies. (Are brownies too bourgeois for BM?)
... on edit, it looks possible that the gates are only closed temporarily, until the road dries out. Guess we'll see.
Thanks, guys. I hope they see my desperation as initiative and reward me appropriately. Mama needs a day job.
I don't think I know anyone who does Burning Man, unless it's Colin. I know he did Coachella and I'm so unhip I'd be burnt at the stake for bot being able to tell them apart.
Someone I worked with in New York turns out to be SUPER IN TO Burning Man, so I'm sure she's stuck out there now.
It's been raining like crazy out here in the West. And chilly.
I know plenty of burners. Don't see the appeal. Too much dust for me!
Or mud, this year, sounds like!
Burning Man is my utter nightmare: tons of people + camping. I would die. Or snap and kill someone with their glitter unicorn pogo stick.
One of my friends who LOVES Burning Man keeps trying to convince me I should go. Ahahahaah, no. Camping, Desert. CAMPING. Plus, a lot of the people who are ardent Burning Man fans annoy me.
tons of people + camping. I would die.
you forgot to add: in the desert!
One of my climbing pals went one year; she said it was unending dust, and crazy loud, so they camped way out away from the center of things.
