Okay, now will someone explain hierarchical linear modeling to me?? That's the thing I have to understand for my job this week. Right now I'm at the "okay they've got these bits of data, they do magic magic magic annnnnnd PROFIT!" stage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Beyond my off the cuff scope, lisah, but it sounds interesting.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's hot and ungodly humid here--bad time for a power outage. More than 2,500 homes are affected in my area.

Good thing I decided not to do laundry but go to a friend's house instead.

Eta: And the power's back. Given the extent of the outage I feared it'd be out for a long time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Okay, now will someone explain hierarchical linear modeling to me??

Yeah, I've got nothing.

At 6 last night, I was going to ask someone if they could teach me about pivot tables, but then I decided to leave work instead and deal with it another time. I'm a little afraid that time should actually be now, but bleh.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

If/when you need help with pivot tables, hit me up, Jesse. I use them all over the place on a regular basis.

Thank you! I have 300 expenditure lines I need to summarize, but I think my fundamental problem is, I don't necessarily know how to put the lines into the right categories because I don't know what they are. Oy.

That is as far as my understanding goes!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Mine too.

Jilli, look away.

We had an old piece of kitchen linoleum down over the dirt in my dad's machine shop in the back yard at the old house. All the guys used the shop and the tools, for working on lawn mowers, bikes, go-carts, dirt bikes, cars, etc. StE was out there one evening working on something, and when he came in the house later on, he mentioned to his dad that they might have to do something about the spiders because they were getting really big.

"I *heard* it walking on the linoleum before I saw it."
