TWICE. Vlad has brought spiders upstairs to play with TWICE tonight. In the space of 15 minutes. The fucking huge ugly wolf spiders. (Don't google. TRUST ME.)
I'm glad he's catching them, I'm glad I recognize that hunting warble, but seeing my cat come around the corner with
wiggling spider legs hanging from his mouth?
DO NOT WANT. NIGHTMARE FUEL.
"Mommy, looked what I found for you! Let's play with them!"
Hubby liked wolf spiders. He'd catch mosquitos for them. There was a fair bit of Addams Family to his life approach.

I totally respect that. I know my phobia is completely irrational.
His forbearance did not extend to other species of the creatures.
Tons to do today, so of course I did not sleep at all last night. Ugh.
Timelies all!
Went to the Dublin Writers Museum today. We are also day tripping Shamrokon. Tomorrow we fly home. Sigh.
I had a horrible night for "sleep" myself -- aches and pains and twitches. And I left my ibuprofen home, which might have helped more than the Tylenol I did have. Bleh.
Instead of cat-sitting, I'm Aunt-sitting, which is more interactive. We may even go to a movie matinee this afternoon, which sounds like exactly the kind of diversion that would keep her from fretting about the fate of the shore house, which is being emptied this weekend preparatory to final demolition and lot sale.
My poor cousin, who just dropped her only child off to college this week, is going to be helping with the house, so she's really getting hit on two emotional fronts at once.
Sorry, guys -- I slept a ton! I know "they" say there's no such thing as making up lost sleep, but I do not believe it.
Oh god, wolf spiders. We get them sometimes up at the cabin, and they are fucking terrifying. The fact that they aren't at all dangerous is entirely beside the point. Furry + extra legs + HUGE = lizard-brain-freakout.
Guys, I am so terrible at math that I cannot wrap my brain around this, and it's a little embarrassing: is -0.04 really smaller than -0.002? The extra zero in -0.002 makes it look like it's the smaller number, to me.
t edit
I can put it another way: does -0.002 fall within the range of -0.04 to 0.03? (This is a statistical question for an author, and to me it looks like -0.002 is not within that range, because it's smaller than the low end [-0.04], but the author says that -0.04 is a smaller number than -0.002, therefore -0.002 is within that range.)
