I was a pallbearer for my grandfather, and it was really great. It felt like an important part of the ceremony and a last act of service to him.

Ohhhh -t, I'm sure there is stuff I'd want, but I'm still figuring out what I want in general - so no clue what names are.
I had great plans of popping a cake in the oven so I could mess with it tomorrow but my face hurts so much, I just don't have the concentration to think beyond my nose.
Poor face of Suzi. I hope the Lyrica works its magic sooner than you expect.
If you come up with a wishlist by December, we have another sale then. Just so you know.
I was gonna say that I haven't been to a funeral that had pallbearers, but that isn't true, my dad was a pallbearer for my uncle, along with his cousins. And that was nice, gave them all a purpose to accomplish together as part of the ceremony.
I am helpless when confronted with solar powered LED stake lights on clearance for a buck. I already had over a dozen, and just bought 4 more. AND I've realized this style would make awesome fake candles for my neighbor's candle thingy on the fence ( already gave her some for her plants.)So I'm going to get on that. Already have plans for these.

Yeah, I would probably buy about 25 of them. We already have 8 in front of our front porch (although 2 are dying, damn you, Harbor Freight).
Target. Though the prices have been bouncing all over. My earlier $1 ones are now back to $2 at this store.
A lot of them are going in modified mason jar lids, to be given as gifts.* Once I find the right sized hole cutter.
* and probably all over my deck.
One of the smartest moves I made when I got into this "new" house (coming up on 15 years!) was getting all the locks redone... and making all the locks deadbolts that require you to use a key to LOCK from the outside. At least that way the door won't latch when you go outside to retrieve a newspaper or whatever.
My apartment is set up like that which means I lost my keys, and I have no idea where. After I finish some fandom stuff tomorrow, I'll have to go looking. I fear it's a lost cause.
I could set my door to automatically lock behind me, but I know that would lead to trouble.
I had an unexpected vegetable in my CSA called a water gourd. It worked out really well in a standard zucchini bread recipe. And now my apartment smells like baking, which is lovely.
With the exception of when the cats threw the security bolt on the front (since disabled) all my lockouts have been due to the basement doorknob lock. It's got a deadbolt and locking doorknob.Had I thought it through, I'd've had the knob be keyed on the inside or require unlocking from the inside to turn.
Front door requires keys to lock, deck door, I assiduously only use the deadbolt ( key inside and out) and kitchen roof balcony, deadbolt + knob won't turn unless it is unlocked.
