I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I expect the various tests will show I've been ignoring anything good I should be doing. I plan to say, "The last three months don't count, let's reconvene this discussion in November."

I so hope I don't have to tell them the news, they were his doctors too, I'm hoping word has spread. I'm tired of telling people who don't know.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm sorry, tommy. I hope the hospice staff are attentive and supportive.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Sorry for everything piling on, tommy. "Eating your feelings" seems like a perfectly cromulent response to me. Much ~ma.

Connie, I would hope that your doctor has the sense to recognize that your priorities have been rejiggered lately and to not be jerks about it. And that the info precedes you to your appointment. ~Ma for you too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

For about half an hour there I didn't have anything urgent and could decide what to work on next. I was very careful not to say so out loud, but I guess I thought it too loud because boy is that state gone.

And it's only been an hour since the last time I bitched. Bah. Again.

And if I'm not careful, some major company will have a catastrophic crash and keep me here till 8.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Clay [the governor] said that he has been urging U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to “take over the entire situation because we will not get justice for Michael Brown and his family and friends if the St. Louis County police and prosecutor have a say.”

Clay's actually the US House Rep. Jay Nixon (such an unfortunate name for a politician) is the governor. Sorry to get pedantic. Despite the name, Nixon is a good sort, and well-regarded enough to get elected twice as the Democratic governor of a red state.

Anyhow, the Highway Patrol have taken over from the Ferguson police. This is a very, very good thing. For one thing, their chief is from that general area of town, originally.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well that was quick.

Our wings are not tired.

It is the first hopeful sign I have seen. I pray that tonight is a calmer night on all sides. The Ferguson police have made this situation a complete nightmare.
