And that statement is just for the hospital costs for the last three weeks of his treatment. No doctors, radiologists, etc., treatments at other clinics, etc. I hoped they learned something useful, at least.

aurelia, I've been seeing the same thing -- I know I very deliberately use the two networks differently; in this case, it's a double whammy of my not doing politics on FB because drama I don't need, plus my policy of not saying anything of any real substance over there because I don't want the creepy fuckers to have it.
And yet, my FB feed (not y'all) needs a wake-up. I'm just too angry and heartsick and spoonless to be the one to do it.
My twitter feed is 90% Ferguson
Mine, too.
I don't use FB, and am || this close to just deleting that account.
But right now I need to go to bed. Christ, what a week, and it's not even Thursday yet.
I get that, amych. I use them differently, too. I'm pretty free with likes and comments on FB but I don't always post much. Of course I can go weeks without even looking at Twitter, but when I do tweet I can be certain people from high school won't be responding.
I have plenty of people on FB postin about it. Maybe FB just doesn't want you to see it? Who knows.
I've seen more since I mentioned it.
Timelies all!
In London, standing in the very long registration line for Loncon.
Please remind me not to read comments on news articles. All it does is make me want to bash peoples' heads in.
As you can imagine, nearly all of the news in my area is about Ferguson. I have some co-workers who live in and around there, and some of them have kids and... ugh.
There might be two issues at play. According to stats, twitter has a much higher ratio of users who are African American. Facebook is filled with a bigger mix of ages while Twitter is filled with younger people. For me, that means, my family members are more likely to be on Facebook than Twitter and it's easier to Not Go There with family since you can unfriend them, but you can rarely unfamily them. For me, Facebook is all personal, while Twitter is way more activist/political/informational.
So, yeah, I think they've differentiated quite a bit.
