Our wings are not tired.

Oh, good, meara. Shouldn't be too much fall out.

I pronounce it a-NAY-is in my head, but I have no verification for that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Dad~ma for your dad, shrift

Ahn-a-EES?

Pretty much how I say it too, although if Scrappy hadn't written it out I'm not sure I could figure out a way to spell it phonetically.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Heart~ma for your dad, shrift.

Ahn-a-EES?

That's how I've thought of it. It's not a name I hear much in conversation. Perhaps I'm not having the right chats.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ahn-a-EES?

This is correct, at least for the girl at Dylan's school with this name.

(Hi. I'm back from vacation. Don't wanna be back from vacation but it is nice to have access to the interwebs again.)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That's how they said it in Henry and June (Well, Henry called her "Anise").

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dad~ma, shrift.

I'm in the AnAYis group, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I use naïve as the pronunciation guide.

Jezebel has a piece on people who dress to get featured on street style blogs, and I immediately regret not having worn my cardigan on my shoulders cape-style while I was out today.

Three hours in the DMV, five minutes at the Shell, and I have license plates again and they're on my car. Thank DOG that's done with. Then I hit TJ's, Ralphs, and Sprouts in order to get the right groceries. Why can't one store have everything, or I settle? But...I need my alternative flours, my Cascade dishwashing liquid and...why the fuck was I in TJ's anyway? Because I foolishly thought it would have things like alternative flours. Though now I do have a vat of cheap blueberries. I'll allow them that.

Who here has been skydiving? It's one of the S things I intended to do in Cali--surfing and shooting I have, SCUBA and swordfighting I have not. But it's not like you can skydive a little--you can dip your toe into my other S-things, NSM that. I'm hoping I can tag along and watch Colin skydive soon--he does it for charity in the summer. But he doesn't know if guests are allowed.
