Juliebird, please tell me your mother is complaining to the doctor as well about her sore throat and difficulty swallowing. Dehydration is a complication you don't want, especially after surgery.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Oh my mother has been in contact with the doctors and nurses most profoundly. Having been a nurse, she understands that she is her own best advocate, and once had to berate a doctor to diagnose her with Lyme Disease. She's very health conscious and will make an appointment without prodding. (she's not a hypochondriac, she just has tons of health issues).

I still worry. Especially since the fuckers at the hospital are slow to respond and have constantly inconsistent diagnoses. From the same doctor.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I'm briefly locked out of my house - I was with my mother and she went to the store and I cane home, but for once in my life I didn't bring my whole purse! And equally unlikely, all the doors here are locked. Ah well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it my misconception that "prodigal" gets used pretty consistently to mean "returning" rather than "profligate"?

You are a good daughter, Sue.

And yes, ita. Edit: I mean no. People use it that way all the time. Like they use Samaritan to mean helper.

It's pretty much a command performance Jesse. All my other siblings are wore out.
