Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Another Jimmy Kimmel short: Celebrities reading mean tweets. It was interesting talking to Colin yesterday about how much he wants to avoid things like this, because his skin isn't thick enough. Don Rickles? I think he's got the skin, and that's not a looks joke. I also cheered Sofia Vergara for the first time ever (having heard what they put her through to make her
la
Latina Suprema, I also try and not believe anything I see of her). Kit Harrington--that was the meanest one, and Blaine's was the truest one. Also, Cheadle's was the worst. LIAR. If this is #7, I guess I'll watch at least 6 more before I call my mother to tell her happy birthday and the picture I drew for her is ugly (*****JULY 20TH ALERT*****--please take all appropriate actions.)
And there's one tweet there that more than one Buffista will agree with right off the bat. I was even thinking it last week, but her comeback is the meanest (deserved?).
BY THE WAY.
I'm doing a personal project of a series of interviews on fandom and people's lives for a fandom blog I started on Kinja/IO9. They are going to range in scope, but I have an hour with Colin to transcribe, some questions off with Tim, assent from Allyson and Kristen, and am looking for people all over the map that would grab IO9 attention one way or another. If you want to see a sample (9
painstaking
minutes) with Colin, it's here: [link] If b,orgers are interested I can link to the instalments. And, oh, and! If you know of anyone I can question (F2F is best, despite the transcription issues (I thought I could type fast)) but I can also send a list of questions if I can do enough research beforehand to make them relevant.
Called the doctors office cause the pain and spasms are just still too much. Waiting for the nurse to talk to the doc and call me back. Meanwhile, arrrrggggggg.
So having K-Bug live here is going to be interesting. We are sectioning off a corner of the living room for her sleeping space and stuff but it doesn't provide real privacy. Still no real explanation from KCD or B. She has one more year of school to get through and any job she finds will not give full time hours, so her ability to live on her own is not likely to happen until after she finishes.
What's K-Bug's take on events?
Like the first part of the Colin interview, ita. So yeah, please let me know when you post more stuff.
Burrell, it sounds like a bunch of mis-communication and unvoiced expectations. She and her dad have never had a warm fuzzy relationship. Plus she hasn't lived with him as an adult before. So he has been treating her like a 14 year old. When I ask KCD and B I get "it can't be fixed" and "I'm tired of her issues".
We all have issues. That is life. I can't imagine which of her issues became so unbearable. When she left D and moved in with KCD, we had all talked about wanting to support her and give her a chance to get through school, refind herself, rebuild her life, and all that.
I don't even know.
Suzi, is there any way you can move back into a 3 bedroom? Is K getting her masters in PT? It's great that she's back in school, and one day it will all be a distant memory. As I hope that horrible physical pain is for you.
I post so rarely these days, but I do read every word y'all post. And I care. A lot. Sorry I am so absent.
That interview is totally fun. And you are TOO somebody!
OMG, I wish people would get back to me and/or I would be more motivated around my other work, because I don't wanna.

Oy. There's something to be said for working on issues when they are with your family who you love, you know? I mean, I'm not saying you have to love your family, but if you do, a relationship between adults is a thing that is possible!

Right? I can see booting a boarder for issues, but family should have more allowance.
Suzi, is there any way you can move back into a 3 bedroom?
Not for a year - just signed my lease. Maybe they would let me break it to move into a larger apartment here - but I can't afford the remodeled 3 bedrooms.
Is K getting her masters in PT?
It is actually an associates to get certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Seems backwards, but she can't touch a patient without this even though she has her undergrad degree. She is actually doing clinicals this month - today ends week 3. She is at a geriatric rehabilitation in patient facility.

I hope so. I called my doc today since the pain hasn't decreased by much and now I have a referral to an ENT. Just waiting for the office to call with the info so I can set-up an appointment. Oh joy, oh rapture.
Ugh, that's a lot of stuff, Suzi. Getting through it ~ma, if that will help.
