The latest Tarzan report had lots of tech questions (two for lighting!)from the Q&A:

Why was Tarzan so sad, do the gorilla costume pieces include real fur, how does the set on the back wall change to different colors (which Kyle graciously demonstrated!), how do we find actors to be in the play, how do the spotlights work, where do the sounds come from, are any of the props on wheels, how did they make all the green stuff that Tarzan swings on, how did we get the green fabric tied up high on the sides of the house.

Nice!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Okay, so need some advice. I have friends who are a couple. When it was my birthday, we went out for dinner (with others), and they gave me a joint gift. The two of them have birthdays within a week of each other and the same group that went out for my birthday is going out for their joint birthday (along with one of the other people in the group whose birthday is also within a week). What's the etiquette here? I'm thinking that I just get each of them a little something and call it a day, or should they get a joint gift?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think either is fine.

I would probably do a joint gift but I can't claim to know of any etiquette for the situation.

Hm. Speaking of Into The Woods... [link] Bad call, Disney.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Bad call, Disney.

Yeah...you cut "Any Moment / Moments in the Woods" and you've lost 50% of what I love about that show. Boo.

Well, I've dozed off for 2 45 minute intervals on the couch, so I guess I should meander up to bed. So dopey.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, once that news came out, my friend Caro and I agreed that we would be hate-watching it when it comes out on DVD. Ideally with wine.
