Front yard looks pretty reasonable maybe even good. Certainly okay. The lady who knocked on my door last week or whenever it was when Walter got out (that reminds me, I'd better make sure the gate is latched. BRB.

Good thing I checked, it was closed but not latched. Now it is secure) came by and said hi, told me she lives a couple of blocks over and she walks around the neighborhood a lot so she wanted me to know she wasn't some weirdo and re-introduce herself if I'd forgotten her name (I hadn't, but given a few more days I probably would have, so that's good) and say hi to Walter who was on a lead in the yard. So that was nice.

Then once I started mowing my one neighbor came by with her gas powered mower and offered to help, as she has done before and I have always declined. This time I let her, so she mowed and I edged and we both hacked at the grass that has been taking over the flower beds. She was out there with me for AN HOUR AND A HALF. So nice. I know I should have offered her iced tea or invited her in, but OMG I can't let anyone see the inside of my house right now and while I have tea in the refrigerator I don't actually have ice and I just have a lot of polite behavior fail going on. But she knows how I am, more or less, I don't think she'll hold it against me and I certainly will be on the lookout for anything I can do for her and her family.

Now I'm kinda ready to collapse. Maybe this is a good opportunity to check movie times...
