Ya ever gone out for a pedicure and come home with a dog? Just me? K-Bug has wanted a dog and I had told her I'd consider it after moving in and settling. So, she has been looking. We stopped in Petco to get something for the cats and they were doing dog adoptions.
Our house now includes Jack, a 7 month old black lab mix. He is so mellow and well behaved. We kept him on leash in the house and both cats have checked him out. Neither got too close but they didn't freak out at all. Jack just watched but didn't pay either much attention.

Thanks for the good thoughts -- I didn't feel like I could ask for sympathy on Facebook because I didn't want it to be About Me, and most of our mutual friends have already seen her news.

I tried to take pictures but unless you want blurry action shots or up the nose shots, I haven't had any luck. K-Bug has a couple she is posting to FB.
We have let him off leash and he hasn't chased the cats or wandered much.
His name was Jed. But he seems to be ok with the new name. Will see how mellow he is once he settles in here.
