I think nasty needs to be closer to off the rails, saying things that are completely whacked out.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My gay ex-boyfriend M.* just called to discuss recent events. He and his long-term boyfriend J. the fashion designer are not getting married, but are most happy that they COULD, and they are buying a terrific and terrifically expensive place together, in Queens. He is appropriately terrified.
*He's actually gay ex-boyfriend #2, so he has to be distinguished from #1, who is W.
Timelies all!
Great way to start the weekend, huh? (and Pride weekend in many places, to boot)
Wow, the president singing Amazing Grace is incredibly moving, for so many reasons. As in 2008, I feel like we are living through one of those moments in history.
Here's my conversational showstopper: I saw Helms without a shirt on.
Whoa. That's like ita seeing Carrot Top naked, only mercifully a more PG-13 version.
How the hell did that happen? You walk into some sort of Congressional changing room?
You have to think that, in the back of his head, he's thinking "bookmark this week for the Presidential Library."
I don't have anyone specific to say this to, thankfully, but can we all remember that it took the Supreme Court to make interracial marriage legal nationwide as well?
Yuuuup.
I am so angry about a couple of different work things right now, and I can't even explain why because they are both such esoteric problems. Fucking people are pissing me off.
Here's my conversational showstopper: I saw Helms without a shirt on.
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.
Scalia is loud, but Alito is sneaky and dangerous.
My conservative uncle posted on FB about the general "you" on both sides of issues who were posting things that were nasty, and suggested that if it's not something you would say in conversation, you shouldn't say it online.
I have no idea if he was talking about me, but I welcome any conversation where I can call Scalia evil, small-minded, and petty, and where I can rejoice in his unhappiness.
Oh, and I haven't said anything mean about Bobby Jindal yet, but I really plan to.
I have seen one relative post something, which was along the lines of "Despite what's happened I'll continue to teach my children what a rainbow really means. That it's God's promise never to flood the world again no matter how wicked or evil it becomes"
Everything else on my FB feed has been rainbows and celebrations and the occasional update on some escaped dangerous felons that have been keeping everyone around here worried.
